📖 Chapter II : Strange things

There is no desire to talk about this person, but needs to be done.

@gusevself is a very strange character in the TON ecosystem.

At some point, we made the NFT Marketplace (riverstyx.io), where in a week we completely figured out the structure of smart-contracts on TON, and how to set up NFT sales / purchases. We even made the first sale of NFTs through the blockchain on TON. Here you can find a post from our group where we announce the first NFT sale on April 21st. (before getgems)

After this announcement, this guy (Gusev) asked me in DM to make a call with me. He told me that he want to offer a deal, I agreed.

Before a call with him, I looked through his resources, and came to the following: 📍Blog channel in which at that time there were 25k subscribers 📍There were almost no reactions under the posts 📍Community chat with +1k subscribers and 0 activity (even spam was not cleared) 📍Youtube channel with 1.3 million subscribers and 500 video views (fake channel)

A strange character, with a alot of bots in the channels. In the summer, his telegram channel had +50k subscribers, now it's 17k (?)

He was 1.5 hours late for the scheduled call and didn't warn about it. But I agreed to make a call from my side. Our call lasted less than 10 minutes, and here's why.

He offered me the following deal: 📍A share of 40% of the projects we do 📍We have to fulfill the tasks that he puts in front of us and we should modify NFT Marketplace 📍$0 investment

I concluded that he is either an idiot or trying to scam.

Offered to him in response: 📍 40k TON for 10% equity from NFT marketplace 📍 No development control

After that, he said that he didn’t have that kind of money and started talking to me randomly about the office in Dubai and that they are best friends with @malev and that they have offices nearby.

I didn't understand and we parted ways. Forgot about this call as something that doesn't make sense.

4-5 months after, we have already completely moved on to develop the MVP of the Metaverse. We created the first city in UE5, a presentation on youtube, pitch deck and prepared to present the project to as many investors as possible.

Applied to TON Grant. Chatted with @tonkongz, Steve and Mark (tonfund). In the end, we didn't get it. But we'll talk about this later.

But some strange event happened, which I did not understand at all, but it was interesting. Gusev DM'ed me and started trolling about how we didn't get the TON Grant, asking me if we were still on TON. At the same time, sending me his personal DM history (share messages) with the owner of the Mintosaurs collection, about where they discuss that "the creature has died" meaning our SoulStones project.

I immediately asked him what drugs he is on?

To which the answer came that they were waiting for me in Dubai on October 15 at the TON Diamonds meeting.

I replied that we'll talk. But to my great regret, he deleted our DM chat at the same moment (I could not save it). You'll have to take my word for it here. But he lifted my mood at that very moment.

It is clear that he does a bunch of some projects like tegro and deceive a bunch of people. Vudi also wrote about it. It is clear that his head is empty if you consider his act, what he offers and in what form he communicates.

And there is a complete feeling that he sits 24/7 in all chats always trying to "help" someone. It also feels like he's preparing conversations in chat rooms throughout the ecosystem just to create an opinion. Where a person finds time to work - mystery.

I really don't like the fact that I write about such people. But you can understand the state of the TON ecosystem because of it.

Nobody knew that we applied for TON Grant. I discussed Grant with three people Justin Hyun(TON incubator), Steve Yun(TON Foundation), Mark Chadwick(TonFund). @tonkongz, didn't even make a post about us in @TONSociety that we applied for a grant, although he promised.

Questions:

📍1. How did it happen that this character (Gusev) DMs me and troll about how we didn't get a TON grant?

📍2. How did this person get an approved checkmark on their telegram channel?

📍3. How did it happen that the official TON Foundation channel makes a post about such characters? Global WEB3 brand. (That is insane!)
